Customer Experience

“I can't say enough good things about Empower Balance and the owner, Lindsey. I've been to many PTs before finding Lindsey and this was BY FAR the best experience I've had. She knows how to think outside the box and really does her research to help with uncommon disorders. I also LOVE that Lindsey has her own private studio. It is so much more comfortable to do PT without the chaos of a room full of people observing, talking, etc. Lindsey is so compassionate and encouraging. She is just great to work with!!”

-Karen

"I’ve been to many good PTs through the years for different injuries and surgeries but my experience at Empower clearly stands out as the best.”

-Margie

"After three weeks of a constant headache, neck pain, and eye pain with multiple appointments to the doctor for muscle relaxers, etc.-- I was feeling no relief. I left my first appointment with Dr. Hershberger and felt changes immediately. In our initial conversation, I felt like she listened and truly sought to understand my situation. I continue to feel heard and respected (which can be difficult to find in a provider) and my progress and symptom relief is a testament to how knowledgeable and skilled she is. Scheduling is straightforward and flexible, communication is easy-- the entire experience from top to bottom was wonderful. I cannot recommend Dr. Hershberger enough!" -Christine

"As a construction worker, I’m often times experiencing some form of aching, soreness, or discomfort. In the past I have always turned to chiropractic to get the relief I need. Lately, I haven’t been getting that relief and was open to a new form of treatment. I heard about Empower wellness and their needling therapy and gave it a try. During the process I could instantly feel relief and the needles doing their job. After a few treatments, I’m convinced that this process works! Going forward, I plan to incorporate needling treatments into my overall wellness routine. Wish I would have found empower sooner!" -Seth

FAQs

  • In a nutshell, physical therapy gets you back on your feet. Wellness programs keep them running.

Physical therapy is best when you need the skilled assessment and treatment of a physical therapist to problem solve and restore function.

    Examples include:

    • Dizziness

    • Fall risk assessment and treatment

    • Orthotic and assistive device prescription

    • Modalities to reduce pain and optimize movement such as manual therapy, dry needling, electrical stimulation or blood flow restriction

    • Injury or surgical recovery programs

Wellness programs (Jumpstart, Anti-Freeze Bootcamp, Neuro Performance) are best for those who want to improve their overall health and fitness. Think goals such as improving strength, stamina, speed, flexibility and balance.

Empower’s wellness programs are designed to build resiliency and prevent future problems so that you can spend less time in physical therapy fixing problems and more time feeling your best.

    For People with Medicare:

    • Unfortunately, Medicare beneficiaries are legally required to use Medicare benefits for their physical therapy and cannot choose to pay cash instead.

    • Medicare beneficiaries can receive services that Medicare does not cover, including wellness (Jumpstart, Anti-Freeze Bootcamp, Neuro Performance)

If you have Medicare and require physical therapy, we will gladly recommend alternative providers.

Still not sure? Fill out our new client form and we’ll reach out to schedule a free phone consultation to find your best fit.

  • Wait times vary from days to months and are impacted by the needs of our current clients, and your scheduling flexibility.

All Physical Therapy clients and current wellness clients have priority scheduling.

Physical therapy treatment plans are individualized and vary depending on each client’s unique needs and medical condition. Wellness clients are offered the opportunity to renew halfway through their scheduled programs.

Once a client chooses not to renew their program, we then offer appointments to the next person on the wait list.

When you are next on the waitlist, we will reach out to you by both text and email with options to schedule your first appointment.

If we do not hear back from you within one week, we move on to the next person on the wait list.

We promise, physical therapy at Empower is worth the wait! Don’t take our word for it. See what our clients have to say.

  • Empower is not in-network with any insurance companies.

    How Payment Works:

    1. You directly pay Empower a flat, per visit rate.

    2. Upon request, Empower will provide you with a superbill (detailed receipt) that you may submit to your insurance company for out-of-network services.

    3. If covered, your insurance company will reimburse you directly.

  • The short answer: RESULTS.

The long answer: We want to provide a much needed alternative when the standard, insurance model of health care isn’t enough.

For some of you, your insurance coverage is solid and meets your needs. Great! We encourage everyone to take advantage of their insurance benefits if you are happy with your results.

For many others, especially those with chronic conditions, insurance based PT simply doesn’t cut it…

    • Frequent authorizations delaying treatments

    • Yearly visit caps that leave you hanging

    • Reduced frequency of treatments in an attempt to “conserve visits”

    • Denials for pre-existing conditions or denial of recommended treatments

    • Limited face time with your provider

    • A factory like experience lacking personalized care

… all slowing down your progress.

Maybe you got discharged because you are now “independent,” yet you know you haven’t achieved your full potential. Or worse yet, you heard the dreaded “plateau” word and got discharged because you “weren’t making enough progress.”

Empower uses a self-pay model to fill the gap in cases where the standard system fails. Self-pay means we work for you, not your insurance company.

Our flat rate, per visit, payment is predictable and easy to understand. It allows for continuous progress. When you no longer need skilled PT but want to keep getting stronger, faster, more balanced… you can transition right into a wellness program with the same therapist that knows your story.

When you remove all the delays, detours and road blocks of insurance, every treatment is delivered with the quickest, most direct route to meeting and exceeding your goals. You get better, faster. And can keep getting better, and better and better and better….
